TL Trip is a location-aware SDK available for iOS and Android. It provides out of the box, always available location awareness to your application. Today, it is running in applications that are used by people on a daily basis distributed via the iTunes Store and Google Play Store. Our easy to integrate SDK minimizes the usage of power hungry GPS calls and therefore maximizes battery life of the devices running it. It utilizes various sensors in the device together with our exclusive sensor fusion technology to achieve location awareness without the constant need of GPS calls.
Once integrated, it maintains location awareness continuously in the background ready to provide location information to your app as needed. It all works on both Android and iOS. The ability to perform the location-awareness computation on the device means that there is not a strict dependency for the device to maintain connectivity to the cloud. As a result, your application continues to be location-aware for extended periods of time even without a data connection.
TL Trip provides SDK APIs to receive location information:
- Upon request
- At specified time intervals
- Once a predefined distance has been traveled
- Once a predefined time interval has passed with no movement
Your data is available for analysis through a web application as well as through comprehensive REST-APIs.
The web application for TL Trip enables you to visualize your data in a number of ways including extensive data analysis, reports, and statistical graphs. The analytic capabilities range from general movement statistics and behavior analysis to demographic information, all derived from the user's location history. All statistics can be easily exported to Excel or as a CSV.
Integration with your existing server is available upon request or, for a more out of the box solution, TL Trip’s REST-API provides you with a query interface into the data as well as the data analytics.

As a result, your application continues to monitor rides and is location aware for extended periods of time even without a data connection.
TL Trip provides SDK APIs to receive location and drive information:
- after the start of a ride (backdated to the startpoint of the ride)
- after the end of a ride (backdated to the start– and endpoint of the ride)
- with route information, including date and time traveled
